My name is Brandon Rumaker. The reason I am here is because I recently spent a lovely Sunday afternoon on 5 hours of Zoom meetings with very cool artists where people kept singing the praises of Substack. I also like that there’s no paywall required here (Sorry, Medium, my old love).
I’ll be using this space to document my journey and discoveries along the road as an artist who exists at the intersection of creativity, productivity, mental health, sociology, and spirituality.
I’ve worked very hard recently as a fellow of FORGE NYC to develop a cool mission statement so here it is:
Brandon Rumaker designs creative experiences where connection, discovery, and transformation offer shelter for the soul. With a foundation in performance, tarot, and facilitation, they engage in a divine deviance that invites audiences and collaborators into the mind’s dusty attics and the heart’s shadowy basements. Through their work, they blurs thresholds and imagines spaces where fantasies and dreams overflow into the minutiae of day-to-day life.
